Poets and People

Soon, summer flowers will blossom again,

and hope will appear again.

People and poets live in the world.

They frequently do not understand each other.

People have money, cars and houses;

they always know what they want and how to live.

Poets cry about fallen leaves of maple trees.

They enjoy each flower.

They go to the forest as though it were

the best museum.

People create their families easily and correctly:

they get acquainted, marry, have children,

and live a normal life.

But the poet in love is so ridiculous!

Therefore, the person he loves runs away from him.

The poet is misunderstood, has no warmth or money,

but he cries and is pleased by his own poems,

and believes in his own unique beacon.

Poets know special secrets.

Poets are wise, but eternally young.

Generous poets have found for the people,

The law of a flower and the formula of a star.
