Poetry Without Words

There are words in my mind
Words in needing for a place on paper
And my pen I left behind
Did I not fear for words be lost forever?

The whiskey is burning within
The warm white lighting… simply a fade
My poetry to hint... only in a dream
For my words tonight will have to wait

I wanted a voice to speak for me
My moment yet… I can only watch passing by
Words… so ever clear I can ever see
Yet serve with means to only wave them goodbye

The paper before me is empty
My pen… I remember to misplace
For in my hand… I held my whiskey
And my words… I forget to chase

And I smile in my abundance
An approach with paper without a pen
A moment where a poet will never learn
Because whiskey… I chose to befriend
