Poetry Soup is another one of my poetry and prose time capsules
Yes, Poetry Soup is another one of my very favorite's poetry's and prose
Time capsule. And this is very sad but alas all too true blue both for me
And for you: if we don't tell our own stories, somebody else will do it for us.
They could be very hard on us, and we might not like what they
Freely choose to rewrite about us.
How many of you remember when un-authorized biography's were written about
famous people? Sometimes by famous people's own family members such as
their sons or their daughters, or others--that have resembled both libel (written and
spoken words, slander.)
Some people write and sing about persons or places and
their very favorite things as in the Sound of Music.
"Those faraway places with strange sounding names"
appeal to arm chair travelers."
But who, according to the late fiction novelist Emily Loring.
They are people interested in reading about those places,
but they are either unwilling or unable to go there in
person themselves.
Sometimes, if their circumstances change, they are able
to do so later on. But sometimes life keeps on getting
in their way 'of finding the better things in life.
And yes, "the better things in life are free."
The air in our lungs that we breath are free,
the cloudy blue sky above us is free.
The brown earth and the green grass
beneath our feet is free.
The songs of song birds,
are totally free.
A small child's bedtime prayers.
Watchful parents who truly care.
A listening and a watchful Savior,
Jesus Christ who is always there.
The Whispers in the Wind are free,
The clarion call of freedom costs
A very life giving personal sacrifice
And many are they among us,
Living and the dead, who have
Paid their ultimate sacrifice!
***Choose for yourselves and choose
among yourselves, this day whom you
shall serve. But as for me and my
senior, female, household of only
one, I will serve the LORD GOD
just as the household of Joshua
did!
Why do you say, O Jacob.
And speak, O Israel:
"My way is hidden from the
LORD,
And my just claim is passed
over by my God'"?
Have you not known?
Have you not heard?
The everlasting God,
The Creator of the ends of the
earth,
Neither faints nor is weary.
His understanding is unsearchable.
He gives power to the weak,
And those who have no
might He increases strength.
Even the youths shall faint
and be weary,
And the young men shall
utterly fall,
But those who wait on the
LORD
Shall renew their strength;
They will mount up with
wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be
weary,
They shall walk and not be faint.
Isaiah 40: 27-31
We shall mount up with up to
Heaven's lofty heights,
We shall ne'er be afraid of the
Terror by night nor the arrow
That flies by day.
LO because we trust in our Lord
Jesus Christ, we shall be saved.
For Jesus Christ, our Golden
Candlestick is victorious over
Death, Hell and the Grave
***Some of this prosody. some prose
and some poetry. Thus I choose your
category of prose poetry.
Q Why should we have poetry time capsules?
A To aid us to lead us and to guide us.
A And to serve as a memory bank for all of our
stored up memories.
Q Why keep a journal?
A We can write about our good times, our bad times
and our in-between times: our feeling and our emotions.
Q Why do some people keep a record of their daily lives?
A Some do it like a check list or a to do's list
A Some people keep a daily or a regular log of the people,
places and things that impact their daily lives.
Q Do some dairy keepers or personal journal keepers
write their entries in poetry, prosody, or prose?
A Yes quit a few of them do and some use illustrations as well.
Q Do people write down Bible verses about our Lord God?
In our journals? About how He impacts our daily existence?
A Yes, many of us do.
Q What about writing about people who have had a major impact
on our lives either negatively or positively?
A Again many people who do record keeping about their lives and
the lives of those persons they run into in their chance encounters.
Q Does our lives go in stages?
A Just like that elderly woman that my deceased mother, Eleanor May
Dubarry and I met during the Marysvile's Washington's Strawberry
Festival before it became part of Sea-Fair and their parades.
A She claimed that she was in her third and final stage of her life.
Q Did I have a book about journal keeping and did I give it away?
A Yes, I did and I gave away to a young woman, who met someone she is planning
on marrying. And I told her to "write about her relationship with him." And gave the same
advice to her co-worker at my chiropractic clinic. Because she needed it more than I did
cause I already was an on-line writer and didn't need it.
Q When did this poet and this writer first discover it was considered by many to be
egotistical to herself in the third person?
A Today, on January 29, 2026 and I thought I was merely being poetic instead.
Q Do most journal writers prefer pen or pencil to typing?
A During the time period it was written in, they had laptop computers, which were considered
to carried around at the time. But it was before social media was well known if at all.
But I didn't read the rest of the book. [ I prefer typing to writing cause it's easier for me.]
A Today, it's posting selfies, comments and likes on various on-line social media outlets.
Our left behind legacy
What type of a legacy shall all of us brothers
And sisters in Christ Jesus leave behind?
"Will we hear our Lord Jesus Christ's Lord
and our Savior say?"
"Well done you good and faithful servants
enter into my kingdom..."
But the unbelieving,
the culture Christian,
those who believe on Jesus,
but don't have a personal
relationship with Him,
just a lot of head knowledge,
and/or good works.
"Depart from me you workers of
inequity for I never knew you."
All who belong to Him, He shall in no
wise cast out, for no one is able
to snatch them out of His Father's
hand. Neither shall anyone or anything
be able to separate us from the love of
God our Heavenly Father.
No height nor depth, nor principalities nor powers,
nor angels nor people, including ourselves,
nothing in the heavens, on the earth nor
under the earth. Shall be able to pluck us
out of our Father's hands!
Have we not: Performed mighty miracles
and works in Your name and cast out
demons in Your name?
Although they did all of that in Jesus name:
because they didn't have a personal relationship
with Him nor did they ever accept Him as their
Lord and Savior and have their sins washed
away by the perfect blood of the Lamb of God.
Who takes away the sins of the world and has
mercy on us!
Neither can you buy with silver and gold, and
Many riches untold, the stairway leading up
to His heavenly kingdom of paradise.
Q Who is really the Caption of our ship (of lives)
And the Master of our Destiny's.
Q Is Jesus Christ either our co-pilot or our pilot
of our lives?
A Jesus Christ is our Caption, Master of our Destiny's
and our pilot by not our co-pilot.
Q Who is on the throne of our lives either us or Jesus Christ?
A Too often we are sitting on the thrones of our own lives instead
surrendering control to Him, myself included.
All of my love and devotion in Christ Jesus,
