Poetry Soup Blogs

Racism and hate have gone on for far too long. It’s in every facet of life and it just doesn’t belong. Name calling and public roasting should not be allowed. Standing on stage, they like the attention from their crowd. Belittling others for personal gain. Why do some feel important when they cause others pain. Arrogance and ego will always lead their way. Do they understand how they make others feel every day? The poetry soup should be a safe haven for those who choose to write. I have faith in the administration and I know they will do what’s right. Soup blogs are for support and not to publicly vent. We are all responsible for our actions and our message that’s sent.

I think if he could go back 5 months ago, he would have not have gone all in with TBP. It is nice of you to offer him the occasional olive branch, and I hope one day he takes it.

I’m sure he will eventually figure things out. All of his friends have left him out in the cold. I don’t like his actions but he is welcome at my table

Mark - that now-deleted-hate blog was a wake call for a lot of people. Peeps are emailing me wondering if he is really ok. Some are surprised, some are scared, but they all are concerned.

Mark, I'm still fairly new to Poetry Soup, but I can't disagree with any of your lines. I don't know what goes on in blogs, and must confess I haven't read them, but negativity never helps heal a problem. It usually creates more. I think I'll stay away.

Well said Mark. I know that I am opening myself up as a target commenting publicly, but I should be safe, falling in to the “IQ of a rocking horse” category that is beneath being bullied. I must be feeling brave before coffee, not yet awake. I often do not participate in blog conversations as I am afraid of drawing such fire.
