Poetry of Life

The poetry I never wrote
fades on the wings of time,
but somewhere deep within my heart
is etched each single line.

It haunts me as a silent ghost
as fleeting memories fail,
but on my soul forevermore
its sentiments prevail
.
Though never meant for me to share
it guides my every day,
and touches everyone I meet
as I pass on my way.

Not everything I see or hear
will shape the way I stride, 
but poetry inscribed by life
will always be my guide.
