Poetry For Me

Poetry for Me
By Franklin Price

Poetry for me is art
Words brushed upon the page
Pictures of emotions
From peacefulness to rage

Poetry has many forms
My favorite one is Rhyme
I'm sure it's from my childhood days
From that carefree happy time

Inspired by a plethora
Of subjects everywhere
None of them are out of bounds
Everything is fair

I write of things I see and hear
Of which I am a part
Words appear, I put them down
They're coming from the heart

I write of nothing I don't feel
To me would be a waste
Of who I am and how I think
I'm giving you a taste

My poetry, I hope you like
Hope it moves you in some way
For you are who I write them for
These words I have to say

A charming poem on writing and using rhyme, presenting heartfelt emotions and images as an artwork (because it is). Enjoyed this wonderful poetic gem.
