Today I said I do
With this pen and ink
That remains on this paper as residue
Take my heart and thoughts to keep you warm, i'm no mink
We met at a coffee shop while addressing my craving
Drowning my sorrows in caffeine
You came over with a pen, I was trembling
You became my starter and my main
Words became dessert to this pen all the way to the paper
We dated for a while but soon it was love
You were patient with me, taught me like a student
Randomly screaming out words of love
You gave me different forms, styles, we were never bored
At least to me it seemed like I was your only one
My heart and thoughts expressed beautifully feeling like I was cured
You are and forever will be my only one
I had to propose
To keep this pen scribbling words describing how I feel about you
With this pen my feelings are on the move but on paper they always pose
