Poetry

My poetry could always be worse 
but, 
There's a point behind every poetic verse 
You can hear me yet I never have to speak 
It can better my mood when I'm feeling weak 
Unlike life I can erase or rewind 
I build what you read inside my mind 
Poems can strengthen your heart 
Yet some of them can tear it apart 
Words are just words maybe to you 
This is my life, yeah, who knew? 
I wish more people just could see 
How much more there is to poetry.

Destiny Budd June 20, 2010 at 12:46 PM Amen. Haha. Reminds me of my own poem I wrote on poetry I said "writing is the best thing to happen to me." Which is partly true. Writing really is wonderful. Not even just poetry but yes, seems a lot of people think there isn't much to poetry these days. Lovely write. I felt like you took the words right out of my own mouth. :)
