Poetic Shadow

Poetic Shadow I get all balled up inside for I fear that we are all failing miserably in our efforts toward Christianity I consider the strength and the faith of the martyrs who refused to death to worship the gods of Rome as I pray to the Lord for wisdom, strength, and mercy I watch the children outside my window spin and play awkward their growth uneasily and slowly submitting to try and fit into this wrestless world all spiritually diseased that feeds on the beauty of their innocence then spits them out between its venemous teeth my God have mercy on us all for this world grinds, pounds, and burns the faith, love, and life, out of all that she sees so much darkness and confusion and I wonder, 'how can this be' the cross it is an idol like a ball and chain for the weak the sun's day as the Sabbath and we are all confused as can be Appollo on the money and we are left serving greed Constantine can you see your sun god under my feet as I stand in a stream of cool water come and take a drink with me from that which flows down from Zion come, let us take part in the Kingdom that is and is yet to be truly we all have our testament in hand my faith that we will all someday understand but how we'll probably all be tried in the fire until we learn to live like the son of man so let us all repent then do the best we can
