Poetic Prayer

Please God help me through this task
Pour your courage over me in a golden flask
Help me through this poetic prayer
Help me every day to learn and share

Through this poetic journey please give me the key
Make me as high --- as high as the trees
I give my promises all to you
Help me complete this blueprint I drew

Guide me to this righteous way
I give you my soul on a golden tray
Lift this burden from my back
Point me down the right track

Support me through this giant step
Shower your love on me with the grace you've kept
Help me through this because I am lost without you
Keep me focused so that I can live true

I'll close my eyes and you take me from there
I'll know you're there when I feel you through my hair
This burden is too much --- it's becoming too hard
I just want to earn my Heaven's card

This poetic journey is something new
Something that helps me get through all the blue
Shine your gorgeous face upon my skin
And guiding me to complete this task, will be the prize I win
