Poet Voices

Poet Voices I asked him to read my poem "aloud" to hear my words from somewhere other than in my own head I always say...."No........not like that!" to "say it like you mean it" "put some motion in your voice" and he read on... monotonously making me irritated.... I have to say..."ok, pause right there" "there is a pause"! frustration to my words I wrote with feeling that do not come out someone else's mouth and thinking..... I'm writing with color and emotion hills and valleys tears and laughter and it is not in his voice I am tempted to ball it up and throw it out Damn. but I read it again.........place it in my journal draw grass and flowers around my words stars and suns........clouds and rain. It is my world in there. And I'll tell it like it is.
