Poem For Her Ears
The poem ‘I Hope This Poem Can, What I Can’t’
Was a heartfelt attempt at closure,
If I knew where, I’d send it in an instant.
Someone knows how to deliver, for sure.
But I fear it’s not what they want,
‘Cause they had plans for my soul’s future,
And I told them, “I have doubts, go pound sand!”
Miffed and upset, anyone might deny a wound suture.
I’m sorry to disappoint, but I had to be a man.
If you had a missive that could possibly cure,
Wouldn’t you make sure it got to the correct hand?
