Poem Foe a Friend

POEM FOR A FRIEND It’s been years since you’ve been gone,I remember when you made it home I know you made your parents very proud. But wasn’t it a shame, nobody seemed to remember your name To them you were just another face in the crowd. I wish I could have been there for you,we both needed someone to talk to About all the things we’ve seen and done. But with a twist of fate, now it’s a little to late, Now I don’t feel like talking to anyone. Well here I sit by your side, thinking of all the tears I’ve cried, Knowing we both did our part Your the one that paid your dues,I’m the one singing the blues, But I’ll remember you forever in my heart. Now my friend I have to go,I just wanted to let you know, Yes buddy I really do care I’ll come visit another day,yes I’ll sit by your grave, And think to myself this isn’t fair. MARTY WEST
