Plus One

I hate walking in alone..
Everyone notices and stares.
Always the odd one out..
I am single and they are in pairs.

Everyone talks about their partners..
How happy they love their life.
I sit there with nothing to say..
I'm no ones girlfriend, I'm no ones wife.

My life is filled with loneliness..
I feel unloved and pushed aside.
Rather than face the world..
I just stay at home and hide.

Everyone has a partner..
No one ever goes alone.
But I don't have any choice..
I go everywhere on my own.

You will always be able find me..
You will notice that I am there.
Just look for the lonley lady..
Sitting next to an empty chair.
