Plus One

Seven hundred poems,
    One hundred thirty days;
A couple of purebreds,
    And more than a few strays.

I'm sure I'll add a few
    Before my turn is done;
In honor of the day,
    Here's seven hundred one.

----------

I had a little over 100 poems that I brought with me with I joined the Soup at the end of January. I just crossed over 800; it has been an enjoyable and prolific writing phase for me. A lot of junk, but some keepers I'm fond of.

Jeff, it’s taking me a while to get where I’m At. There’s so many writers here that put in 10+ a day. I can barely make one a day and even then my brain wears out.

Hi Eve, yes, when I first got here, I was frustrated with the 10 poem per day limit, and hitting it regularly. Now, a couple of poems is a good day. A lot going on that keeps me out and away from the computer, which is a good thing!

Jeff, you have shone yourself to be an incredibly talented poet, and I hope you will continue to grace us with your presence. I enjoy your poems immensely, even the longer ones you sucker me into. We've grown accustomed to you, and the soup would not be as savory without you.
