Plucked For You

Plucked for you, this little flower
Given in earnest, modest gift
Posies and love bloom by the hour
Plucked for you, this little flower
Sun kissed and rain wet by shower
Hoping yellow, your worries lift
Plucked for you, this little flower
Given in earnest, modest gift

Nice poem! I am having trouble figuring out if you are speaking of a virgin? Please do not roast me for this...it is, by all means, a serious question.

Interesting you should ask, because I left it to the readers interpretation. I think anytime we do something as a "first", this may fit... From there, you may decide...:))

Very sweet. I saw on your list that you are trying the forms as listed here? That's what I did, apart from the ones I learned in English class. So many, huh? This is indeed sweet. I think triolet was one of my first attempts. Blessings ... and Happy Imagination ... CayCay

Same reason I tried them! Love words and word challenges, song lyrics ... Well, I am chatty this moment so I'll tell you true, iambic pentameter is something I personally fake my way through. Just recently a spark of clarity went off in my brain, I got it, had it, then I doubted it and went back to faking it. BUT I'll share more concrete and actually helpful (I HOPE) feedback in a private soup message sometime soon. k?

Thank you, sweet CayCay. Yes. I'm trying for all forms just to be able to feel the accomplishment. I've had no formal education in literature, I'm just fumbling through it with my imagination and the ability to follow instructions and count syllables. Btw...wth is iambic pentameter? Lol

Nicely done, Rhoda. I tried using this form and found it difficult, you did it very well.

Thank you, John. Yep. This form is utter and complete frustration, but I love a good challenge. Appreciate your comments

I like this form, Rhoda; in fact I just chose this one to read because of that. You have tackled it well, and even the content goes to reveal a positive side of your character. Regards // paul

Thank you, Paul, for reading and your compliment. My goal is to try every form. Please do stop by to read as you are able. I appreciate your opinions, good or bad. Here to learn.
