Pleasure's Pain
From a spark to a flame,
that rips through time,
but for the heaviness of shame,
it would feel sublime.
When the Earth shakes,
when perception alters,
a tremble rises to a quake
and his courage falters.
An internal force
leaves them shredded and torn.
Gravity, from an unknown source,
full of grief, they mourn.
Beneath a cloak of shadow
still burns their fire,
life cannot prevent it though,
insatiable desire.
