Please Give Thanks

Today, I need to say
Thank you to all who pass my way
Thank you is a word,
That is not so much in play

Too busy to say thank you
Too stressed to share a smile
Some just can't be bothered,
It stands out a mile.

Etiquette and good manners
Are they becoming things of the past
Saying please and thank you.
Are needed, meant to last,

These expressions of gratitude
We cannot do without
So altogether now PLEASE, SHOUT
THANK YOU.

I agree that so many times in our society today that good manners have gone down the tube and out the door. Thanks for reminding us that we should show due respect to people around us for the small things in life that need a thank you. Your visit to my page was uplifting. Sara
