Please Do Not Notice Me

Please do not notice me Harriet said, capeesh? We thought she was humble, but we were wrong. I caught her in the city with a duck on a leash. Garnering all kinds of attention from a city throng. No one takes a duck on a walk in New York City. Unless they want to be noticed, said my cousin Wright. Or they want to be seen as pretty or witty…. I said as Harriet and the duck danced out of sight.
