Please Bestow Redemption, My Love

I have wronged you, my love and need to be redeemed. For our bright light has dimmed, this is not as I dreamed. So I shall linger in lavender fields thinking of an apology to make you realize how much you really mean to me. I shall beg, plead and say sorry for the pain I have schemed, and be the wife that you always longed for me to be. I crave redemption for my transgressions devoid of hope, I have learned my lesson after seeing you dreadfully cope. Please hear my vindication and bestow forgiving grace so that we may come together and once again embrace. When I noticed I caused you to fall down that slippery slope, I realized how my actions and words made you need your space. So I wander this wilderness alone, though I made a mistake- I’m truly sorry, my sweet…for opening your heart to break. Apology Poetry Contest Line Gauthier April 28, 2019
