Please
“Please” is such a small word,
Almost insignificant,
We are so used to hear it,
I swear, it’s almost absurd.
“Please” is like a sweet child, asking for candies,
You can see the hungry eyes,
Though there is only innocence in them,
No disguise, no lies.
But “please" can be me,
Asking you to “Please let me be yours until eternity,”
Begging on my knees, with tears in my eyes for you to agree,
To be mine, as I am yours, and call it destiny.
I can’t help it, talking about it,
Talking about it more then the kid with the candy,
Because that was a simple thing, but love is not,
Thousands of years and thousands of books,
But we still cannot explain what love actually is.
You probably think that I’m crazy,
‘Cause there is no way a sane person could fall so hard,
But there I am, and maybe I’m out of my mind,
Sending letters to the sky,
Asking if one day you’re gonna be mine.
I’ll admit, it’s weird how someone can use the word “please,”
In so many ways,
How you can ask for someone’s help, someone’s phone,
But also, someone’s heart, someone’s soul.
