Plea To the Monster

Time has blessed us
This I can not deny
But it isn't enough
Are the words I do cry

It's torture it's misery
Affliction and pain
Knowing of when
It will stop is no gain

Suffer us no more
Give us more time
What was our passion
Was it a crime

Inflicted upon us
This horrendous disease
End us this monster
Give us some ease

If you can't grant our wishes
Then give time and more
To speak of our hearts
Before closing the door

Just do so with temperance
Of pain and of grief
We will thank you so kindly
To grant this relief
