Playing It Cool

I remember the day
That you told me you didn't want to be more than friends
I remember that day
Because you told me you didn't want our friendship to end.

And I was so heartbroken
Because you knew
That I wanted to be with you
My feelings were crushed I guess for now I have to play it cool

It took a while to see
That you were serious about not wanting to be with me
And it took a while
For me to end my fantasies of the two of us being we

So for now I 'm playing it cool
Relaxing, dashing, staying away from you,
I don't want to see you two
That's why right now...I'm just playing it cool
