Playing Footsies

Playing footsies, smiling in bed
Watching the late night news
What happens- enough said
Well, Surprise! Surprise! They both snooze

Together eighty years
Both outlived most their peers
Some happy, some sad; tears

No birds and bees
Playing footsies

I am surprised it was the late news and not the evening news. Enjoyed your poem.

Sometimes when you get that old, even playing footsies can give you such a thrill :)

Good one. Even footsies is satisfying after so many years I'd say!
