Platypus Origin Story

Evolution made its best pitch
for a new ecological niche.
Without so much as a fuss,
behold the duckbill platypus.

I was gonna name my platypus 'Atticus' or 'Abacus.' But I decided to name it 'Ratimus' after a doorman I know, who hails from Puerto Rico. ~ gw P.S. Recommended Response: SO WHAT?

Haha, all great names. Atticus sounds kind of dignified. Abacus is cute, and appropriate for an animal who understands electrolocation. That's my favorite. A platypus who could use his calculating ability like Felix the Cat to get out of fixes. Strangely enough, my son once had a pet rat named Ratita. Ratitus sounds like it could be a Roman platypus (of which there are very few). OK, well, at least I'm staying on topic: So what? lol
