Planning Her Day Off
I have four days off work, so I shall clean the garage the first day.
On the second day, I will finish it.
Unless I find something else that needs to be done more.
I may do a little yard work.
I want to prune my bushes.
I have to take the dogs to the vet, and I have to deworm the cat.
Sounds like a busy four days I tell her.
She smiles and says “I am highly productive on my day off.”
After the fact she calls me.
Binge watched TV all four days.
Didn’t clean the garage? I asked her.
I opened it twice.
Decided I would rather throw a match in there than clean it.
Did you take the dogs to the vet?
Not yet.
Deworm?
Don’t even ask me.
Maybe you needed to not be so productive, I told her.
Maybe you needed a break.
“I think I did.”
