Plagiarism Or Parodies

Oh do those with their poetry beguile others thunder
Mock gracious words with a false-hearted pen,
Yes the vampires of our poetic stage some would call a blunder
When to suck the blood from far more noble; wiser (Wo) men!

Real good effective piece, gets the mind thinking of the act of plagiarism, and how it may creep into some ones work even.' I am not aware of copying others words as such, yet I suppose styles / thoughts must be transmutable to a greater or lesser amount, hmm a gray area indeed.'

Harry this reminded me of the soup mail you send me. I never even followed up on that. What an awesome way to voice your dissatisfaction :) hope you are having a great week..

Cute one..Enjoyed reading your work..It is not right to steal someone's lines without giving them the credit of being the orginal ones to write the work..Sara

I don't think there is anything wrong with drawing inspiration from other's work, but copying poems word for word is just heartless on their part... You've expressed your feelings on the matter in a unique way. Very effective and very well done, Harry!

Yes many vampires and cannibals exist. See it to often in this, greed/reward for participation, driven society.

I've seen blatant plagerism on the site and it is still going on in recent contests. I've had poems of mine posted by someone on another site - guess I should be flattered as a novice writer but it is a shame someone has to stoop so low to claim work as their own. I realise people post on here and elsewhere under different names - which I guess can also cause confusion.:-) hugs Jan xx
