Places

Leading me through the pain
I don't mind the rain.
Hides me so well
From love I fell
Meeting me half way
Forgot what I needed to say
To make her want stay
Saw an empty road ahead
Tried the shortcut instead
Ended up far from anywhere
Had a hard time getting away from there
No one seemed to care
Burning bridges put tears in your eyes
The not so blue skies
Seems so cold today
Warmth is so hard to find
When seeking peace of mind
You open yourself up for just more rain
Wishing it could wash away this stain
How many empty days lie in front of me
Before happiness I see
In this journey I have grown so old
If this life was a hand of cards I would fold
Hard to be bold
In a world so full of hate
Wondering if maybe your to late
To change this fate
