Pitter Patter Misty Rain

Watching the misty rain
Falling on the eucalyptus gum leaves
The Galahs are squawking
While I sit in my chair and deep breath
The whistling sounds of a variety of birds
Puddles forming on the ground
Beyond the bird noises
There is no other sound
The Pitter-patter of misty rain
Watching the flow of the river
Is no strain
Life ‘s simplicity at its best
Life in the country
Is where I feel blessed.
