Pink and Distinct

Still air
Hesitation
What went
Wrong
Too much
Smoke filled
Lungs
So raw

Still sarcasm
In vain
Why'd I say
That
And why did
You stop
Talking
Too early

Still bodies
Stale mate
In minutes
Before we
Could get
Beyond ourselves
I wish we
Knew this before hand

Still night
Smoke rises
And blows
North
It's not like
Before
When lungs
Were so raw

Gives me visions of a persons first cigerrette being compared to ones first love. Excellent write.
