Pills Pills Pills

Pills, pills, pills for everything Taking more than ever before Popping pills for this and that Constipation which I abhor Didn't used to be like this What's happened to our way of life Much preferred the way it was We sure had a lot less strife Maybe I'm a wee bit delusional And things aren't all that different However it sure seems that way Am I being a little bit ignorant Pills to make me more handsome Hasn't worked, not even close Taking even more than suggested Strengthening daily my dose Pills, pills, pills for everything More addicted than ever before Totally handsome I've ever been But constipation I still abhor

It's just a thought! The doc says you need this or that... I say okay doc, don't wan't to wind up in hospital! He turns away and giggles to himself! Cheers!

certainly a clever and entertaining poem, but one with a point--to which I agree. Since I retired, I'm shocked at the number of drug commercials, especially while watching an afternoon program. Hubby and I make fun of them. Seems like to me drug companies are planting seeds in our heads, the seeds that say no matter your self-created ailments, we can fix you....thus creating a cycle of addiction that just puts more $$ in drug manufacturers' pockets. I guess I'm a bit more holistic.

We are bombarded by them! Drug Companies are running amok... a trillion dollar industry! We are afraid to ignore them for fear of negative results...can't win! Love Jacko xxx

Yes there seems to be pills for nearly everything. Life does seem more complicated these days. A good poem. Well done.
