Pilgrim's Plea

Let me walk along life's streams.
Let me know the peace
Of answering the questions
Which never seem to cease.
Let solitude's embrace
Warm my troubled soul
And the wisdom of the ages
My doubtful mind console.

Let me soar where eagles fly.
Let me touch the clouds.
Set me free from earthly cares,
Far above the crowds.
Let me know the silence
Where only winds reply
To questions which my soul will ask
As life goes passing by.

Let me call the mountains
Brothers to my soul.
Let me stand on crystal sands
As waters from the sea unfold.
Let all life's kindred spirits
Stop and say "Hello".
Let me travel through this life
Just helping people grow.
