Piece of Heaven

On a soft and turning river
his thoughts are drifting with the flow
current so relaxing
underneath a bright moon glow

Stars reflecting on the water
ricocheting off the surface
he finds a sense of inner peace
the rivers subtle purpose

Imagining an eternity
in the current he pretends
he's found a piece of heaven
hopes the river never ends

Ron, this is an outstanding poem. I, too, find peace in the rivers and seas. Bravo! Carolyn

Very beautiful and dreamy quality to this, has a tranquil feel. I love the images you convey here, quite a picture you have painted with this lovely word-art. :) Blessings... Amy
