Pictures

pictures are great to have,
they can take you back.
Releasing feelings you forgot about.
Remember the emotions you had, when that picture was snapped.
All the good times filled with family and friends.
with embarrassing blunders that were caught in the moment.
Pictures are a blast to hang on to.
They are like books with no words,
retelling a marvelous story.
pictures get ripped, torn, weathered and worn.
They get thrown on the floor and trampled on.
No matter what happens to them.
The memories are burned in your head.

I must confess I absolutely love pictures. They are amazing. A moment of time, forever enclosed and sealed where you can view it again and again.

Sometimes when I'm lonely, I take out old photo albums and relive these moments you describe so well, Cory. Priceless treasures for sure. Very nicely penned! Best wishes, Carolyn
