Picture Perfect

You delectable collectable!
  Why are you so skeptical?
  You're beautiful
  And dutiful
  in all that you construe
  You're insecure
  And so demure
  I'm not so sure
  That you'd endure
The compliments the world is paying you

To a beautiful little granddaughter with a BIG self esteem issue!

Hello Gayle!! Thanks for your recent read of "The End"!! This is a most excellent poem for sure. You're words are most supportive of your granddaughter -- as they should be. This appears to be a specific format, but honestly I can recall it at this juncture as I'm presently traveling on the road. Regardless, it's a most wonderful poem!! Cheers and Best, Gary

Thank you for reading, Gary. I guess it's a learning process for me. :)

I read where you replied to someone you feel you have the same poetic melody locked in your head, well I'm here to say that is not true. This is an entirely different song, the melody to this is quite different and so good. I love the way this reads, it sings as I read it. The theme is wonderful too, many will read this and think, I know what she means. Nicely done Gayle.

It's interesting for sure. I think the styles are a language all their own and I'd love to learn them all.

Usually if it is not a rhyming poem I go with free verse, though I know that isn't always correct, but, who cares. :)

"Thx Chris. I'm just not sure what style this would be called? I'm not really good at the style of verse etc.. I think if I start getting bogged down in numbers of lines, meter, stanza placement etc.. it takes the fun out of it for me. Most of my stuff falls under rhyme, which seems pretty safe. ;p"
