Picture of Heartbreak

A mind filled with memories,
A room filled with emptyness.
A radio playing sad melodies,
A soul consumed by sadness.

A love that never existed,
A man who lost it all to love.
A man who by sorrow is afflicted,
One who wears pain as a glove.

Broken picture frames and mirrors,
Empty beer bottles scattered on the floor.
A bed which once contained two lovers,
Precious moments which have gone out the door.

I enjoyed reading your poetry this morning Hector. I see the weekend was good to you and helped you find the inspiration to write and share your poetry with us. Love, Carol

A picture of heartbreak, indeed. An emotive and poetic write.
