Picture Me

Am I too blind, to try to find truth in reality?
Do you just see the color of my skin or do you see me
When you look through a mirror
Is the image going to be clear?
I’m God’s great creation
To see myself is a blessing
The mirror will not lie and it only knows you,
Open and honest in search of what is true
Are these contagious reflections
So what we all have some imperfections?
I tried to smile so I don’t look mean
I look straight at the screen
Hmmm I don’t know the last time I really smiled?
I know it's been a while
Does my smile give my face permanence?
To love others now that’s my humble presence
Look at my past life before you see me now, and what I've become,
Thanks Father God for the great job that you have done
