Picture in a Mirror
Wasn't a waste finding you in a mirror,
a special reflection that made all fears go.
Though could've picked a taller ceiling..
my how two arms have grown.
A prince, a frog, or both stood waiting.,
in glint of moonlight meant for two.
So silly how you found it all relating,
a soldier of fortune to your midnight blue.
Prefer to leave the I out of me most days..
save one looked for in a looking glass.
The pretty I'll never replace..
a special one that made us our best.
For what it's worth, thought you should know,
the warmth of you, a true shining soul..
falling like fragments of dust on an attic floor,
trapped forever in my mind's mirror'd
picture show.
