Picture

Beside the swell of ocean waves That strain to reach the eastern coast, There lies away a distant dream From which I haven’t yet awoke Her silhouette is bathed in rays As fingers stretch and bend to pluck A song that I will never know, With feelings I can never touch But still I see that subtle grace Left yet unmarred by years undone, Still held within her sea-green eyes As she looks westward, toward the sun.
