Picnic In the Fall Contest
During the fall overwhelmed with crisp air,
Is a time where I like to share,
A treat with my sweetest love,
While we gaze far above,
Underneath the late noon sky,
After the bugs don’t want to fly,
I can enjoy the time we share,
As the cool breeze blows my hair,
Laying down on Satin sheets,
In the grass our eyes do meet,
Eating fruit from the vine,
A glass of Merlo adds to our dine,
Purple, pink, reds and blues,
A canvas painted just for two,
Sounds of leaves whispering as they meet,
Glorious birds harmonizing beats,
Marching ants finishing up their day,
Alongside where we lay,
souls are restored by the silent lake,
Nature gives, it does not take,
Quiet reflection of our day,
A picnic in the fall is the best way!
