Picnic Basket
Picnic Basket
Today I remembered a time and place.
I remembered a certain smiling face.
Blissfully happy, I do recall.
I was quite young and very small.
Her eyes gave peace and filled my heart.
Long before we had to part.
A picnic basket and noonday sun.
I kept her busy and on the run.
This time was full of love and peace.
Sheltered by her magic fleece.
I miss that time and moments shared.
I was always loved and never scared.
I miss her more as I grow old.
I miss the love she always showed.
I miss the hugs and kisses too.
I miss you Mom; I still love you!
