You made the right choice

One more thing can I ask?
Though I know I seem shallow..

Could you just click a like?
Or a heart, that would do
I don't wish to impose, but
It makes our friendship SO true

Then I'll visit as well
Send our numbers to maximal
I do love you and this is
In no way transactional

You can stroke me and hug me
With your words affirmational
My reply will be Shakespearean
Or at least dissertational

When we're done with our tags
Or the half dozen kisses
With the hearts and the stars
Loaded high with best wishes

We can sleep safe and sound
As with nuclear fission
There's nothing to fear
From our popularity mission

Attention and acceptance are already strong forces, now being monopolised by social media to feed us what we want to hear. Awareness is the greatest defence we have.. thanks for calling by Sara :)

Ah one reason why i seem a bit distant from insta, cus i see too many “ pick me “ people there, fame hungry. Unfortunately thats the reality in many places not just the younger generation but it seems like the new in thing. And youv as again conveyed your thoughts on that in a sassy manner! Very well written in a poetic way. I especially love “ My reply will be Shakespearean Or at least dissertational“ that has a fun tone to it too hahx clever! Loved this! A new fave for me this is.

I must indeed be getting 'sassy' in my old-age.. or perhaps my near- death experience (man-flu) has snapped me out of a malaise. Love hearing your comments as always, Ink. Blessings! :))
