A phone reminds me of a red wasp stinging.
our phone is painful because it’s always ringing.
I much prefer my life to not be tied to a phone,
each time that it rings I begin my bemoan.
I have to be quick and need help with walking,
so before I can block it someone’s usually talking.
Some calls are averted by our trusty call blocker,
which is good news for someone tied to a walker.
Sometimes I fall in my effort to make haste,
we’ve six phones in the house, some are displaced.
Sometimes it rings waking me from deep slumber,
and often it’s someone who has the wrong number.
This morning, before 6 phone calls, my day was fine,
but now, I need a little cheese to go with my whine.
