Phantom

I once created this phantom inside
Someone who I became when I decide

Having not become how I want to be
When I am the person who is not me

I do not think deep about how I am
Always finding myself into the jam

Why cannot I take just a step back
Thinking it through before I react

I can cope with the pitfalls ahead
Without acting how I might instead

If I could only take my own advice
I would do every other thing twice

This is nothing without commitment
Requiring our constant fulfillment

I can only give what I have myself
To you I am giving everything else
