Phantom

Reminders of you everywhere
It's as if your name was in the air
A hundred times I hear it whispered
A thousand times I say it aloud
Here I am standing so alone
Despite the immensity of the crowd
I attempt to silence my thoughts for peace
For the sake of my sanity at least
But I see you inspite of your invisibility
And I feel you though immersed in solitude
So I crumble again on the inside
While my misery is repeatedly renewed
Reminders of you everywhere
I crave your warmth, tenderness and care
A million heartbeats seem to riccochet
An infinity of blinding lights fill my eyes
At last I see you standing in my way
And ecstasy is felt when your being begins to materialize
