Perspective Ii

Don’t you give up, don’t let the dirt
Plunge the splendor of your spirit
Down into that cold, hard pit

I’ll pull you back where all is lit
And you’ll feel briefly, uplifted.
But,

Fight the dark, fight the chill,
Right the wrongs, live one more gift,
No light divine can shine to fill

What must alone be your bliss
To transcend moments of sadness--
Give.
