-persona Poem- Husband To Wife
well darlin', all i can say
is we're fallin' behind
far behind
bills are due
and we're broke
broker than broke
we're below broke
we're diggin' a hole
and a big hole
bigger than a grave
a grave more than 100 feet deep
ewe need a way out
a ladder or some steps
we need to save
our money, our bodies
and ourselves
before we collapse
so we can relax
and be at peace
