Perpetual
Seemed the end
the normal trend
the people sagged down low
low and behold
a man came along
shining with a glow
with a halo on above
the people all around
look up and they said
our savior is here
glory to all
and peace throughout the land
this man brought wisdom
he brought joy
but in the end he bled
hung on the cross
poked with a spear
and left til he was dead
this the fate
all prophets of peace
will, indeedly, share
for the ones with power
need send message
so no one else will dare
to bring just cause
to a world clouded in fog
so the money will be there's
leaving all citizens
globally insecure
and reaching to on high
praying for answers
not knowing the way
and always wondering, why?
