PERPETUAL

PERPETUAL

Love is transient, some believe
It has a life, and then it’s over
Yet for the few, it’s sustainable
Just getting by is never enough
Lasting when things get tough
Endless love is still attainable
No black hole but a supernova
To celebrate when others grieve

Love is not fantasy, but actual
Needing much regular attention
The basis is a permanent affinity
Watering well what was planted
Keep a straight stem, not slanted
Never to be taken for granted
By stretching out far to infinity
Sharing pleasure is the intention
Always striving to be perpetual
