Thank you Jan! It's a true story. I fostered a pionus. I am a crazy bird lady, but not a parrot person ;), they're needier than a lap dog, I like my dogs with a bit of independence lol xomo!

Thank you Jeanne! It's a true story! I had a pionus briefly, a whirlwind romance. Giving him a bath with a spray bottle he unfolded into an exotic tropical bloom right before my eyes. :), xomo!

Thank you Greg! This is for Perry, a pionus I fostered. He really did look like an exotic bloom, upturned with all his feathers spread out in a mist shower, prismatic display sparkling in the sunlight, gobsmackingly beautiful ;), xomo!

A nice poem Maureen. Then I had to look up what a pionus parrot was and then this haiku became very very very good. A cool bird.

Thank you dear sweet D! Perry, the parrot I fostered, has been deserving of this poem for years now. Giving him a shower was one of the most incredibly beautiful things I have ever seen, he turned upside down and opened all his feathers, a prismatic exotic display, unforgettable. xomo <3
